At CUTICON – 2008, the 34th annual conference of the Gujarat State Branch of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL-GSB), held at Mehsana in December 2008:

Dr. Daksha Jethava, 3rd year resident, presented the study, “Adverse cutaneous drug reactions in HIV/AIDS patients” in the Award Paper session.

Dr. Rushika Chauhan, 2nd year resident, presented a case-report about 2 cases of Sezary Syndrome, titled “Intractable pruritus may be ominous!” in the Free Paper session.

Dr. Rahul Chandera, 1st year resident, presented the Poster titled “A case report of lazarine leprosy”.

At Dermazone-West 2009, the 1st biennial west zonal conference of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists, attended by Dermatologists from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa, held at Ahmedabad in December 2009:

Dr. Rushika Chauhan, 3rd year resident, presented the paper “Study of systemic manifestations of autoimmune connective tissue diseases” in the Dr. Bharat H. Shah Award Paper session.

Dr. Rahul Chandera, 2nd year resident, presented the paper regarding a rare case, “Scleromyxoedema responding well to thalidomide – a case report” in the Free Paper Session.

Dr. Riddhi Kotecha, 1st year resident, presented the Poster titled “Berardinelli-Seip syndrome – a rare case report”.

Dr. Mital Sidhpura, 1st year resident, presented the Poster titled “The importance of etiological approach illustrated in leucocytoclastic vasculitis”.

IADVL-GSK National Quiz Program for Post-Graduates (IGNQPP) was also held along with the conference, in which the team from P.D.U. Medical College & Hospital, Rajkot participated. The initial elimination round (written) was attended by a total number of 9 colleges from all over Gujarat and Rajasthan. Of these, 4 teams were selected for the further round held on stage.
